Being an indie developer is challenging, and Dang, the indie team behind Boomerang X, is a testament to this. They have recently announced that due to financial constraints, they are forced to disband, with team members heading off on their own paths. 

In a post on X, the team expressed, "Regrettably, we couldn't secure funding for our next game and we've run out of resources. While we're not completely ruling out the chance of collaborating on minor projects in the future, for now, we're splitting up."

When some fans suggested crowdfunding for their next project, the developer responded that while they had considered it, it didn't quite suit their circumstances. 

Regarding the future of Boomerang X, Dang confirmed that the game would still be available for purchase on Steam.
